A private invitation, as part of Lisbon Design Week, into one of the city’s most quietly beautiful homes, opened for the last time.
Victoire de Lencquesaing has lived in Lisbon for nine years. Before leaving, she opened her home for five days during Lisbon Design Week. She called the exhibition O Longo Adeus. The long goodbye. A house preparing to let go of itself, slowly, in front of anyone willing to walk through it.
Main Edition‘s new ceramics sit alongside an eclectic selection of objects by Portuguese designers, curated by João Cabaço of Stood Design and drawn from his private collection. The house itself, a modernist composition in pink and wood by Albino Alves Pinho, holds the whole thing like a long, slow love letter to the city.
A generous afternoon. A long goodbye, offered to us among very few.
